Mike Hudson | Disaster Response Manager
Mike’s respect and knowledge for the ocean first began as a youth playing in the shore breaks of Oahu’s eastside. He currently works as an Operations Captain for Corolla Ocean Rescue along the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Aside from ocean rescue, Mike spends his spare time wave chasing, volunteer firefighting & college studies in Disaster & Emergency Management. Personally experiencing the effects from Typhoon Tip, Hurricane Iniki, the Northridge Earthquake and a number of east coast hurricanes, Mike has an invested interest in building ISLA’s disaster response sector. Before lifeguarding, Mike served in the military and spent a number of tours in the other sandbox. He has volunteered with ISLA in Nicaragua, Ecuador & Dominic Republic.
