Project Albania

Get ready to explore the Adriatic and Ionian Seas and Albania!

A long historically isolated from its counter-parts in the east and west, Albania shares a special culture being on the beautiful coastlines of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, and among the dense forests of the Balkan Landmass. Starting in 2015 we begin plans for a long term objective of saving lives in the region. When we are not working? We are right there alongside the Albanians learning their culture… so what better way to explore the area and make a difference with ISLA!

Though Albania isn’t know for its big surf, it does have a big sea that attracts thousands of people a year to its busy coastlines… making lifeguarding and teaching water safety more important than ever.

This year, ISLA will be working with the Albanian Lifeguard team to provide a three-day basic open water course for aspiring lifesavers in the region and the country. After the project, members of the team will have plenty to do and explore as we see more of the region and enjoy it with our new greek friends and volunteers from around the globe.

This is a great opportunity to visit a new place, meet incredible new friends, and share special skills that will help protect lives!
