Patagonia Lifeguard Exchange:
Starting in 2012, ISLA launched its first initiative in collaboration with Guardavidas SEAL to provide an endless summer lifeguard exchange experience in Chile.
ISLA has partnered with Claudio Pradenas Abarca and the Servicios Especiales Acuaticos Ltda (SEAL), a private lifesaving agency founded by Claudio (A trained California State Parks Lifeguard) that provides services on the Chilean coast. Claudio and his team’s expertise goes far beyond basic open water rescue, encompassing Rescue Water Craft (jet ski) , swift water rescue, and all other water related rescue imaginable. This is a great opportunity for you to gain advanced technical knowledge and share your lifesaving techniques.

Highlights of this 2 1/2 week whirl wind include coordinating and lifeguarding the Pucon Ironman and exploring the Lakes Region of Chile, visiting the Kraken Lifeguard School for at risk youth in Valparaiso, and living for a week in the Lifeguard House with the Guardavidas SEAL in Tongoy.
