Project Macedonia

Get ready for another incredible project in the Balkans!

Get ready to experience one of the most incredible countries on Earth in the best way possible: with ISLA. Since 2013, ISLA has been sending teams to the heart of the Balkans to explore this ancient place, while making a difference and saving lives!

Though Macedonia may be land-locked, it is packed full with deep canyons, rushing river waters and lakes. It is also becoming a very popular place for tourism making the work of saving lives more important than ever. The ISLA team will get to share their skills while exploring beautiful canyons, mountains and what is thought to be the world’s deepest cave (yes, we will get to see for ourselves) and Europe’s oldest lake: Lake Ohrid!

This year, ISLA will continue its training course at the beautiful Lake Mladost outside of Veles providing a 3-day basic open water course for members of the Macedonian Rescuer and others from around the region. After the project, be ready to explore with our new friends.

This is a great opportunity to visit a new place, make new friends and see your skills make a major difference to an area in need. We hope to see you there!
